The x400 v4 impresses with maximum precision, smoothness and speed in the printing process and is therefore ideally suited for the additive manufacturing of small batches in industrial quality.

Its transparent and easily accessible build space makes it particularly attractive for customization in development and prototyping.

New features such as the filament tracking system, electronics adapted to the demanding industrial user and a new ventilation concept make the x400 v4 the best printer in the x400 series. The machine is developed and manufactured in Germany.

Technical features

Design with industrial quality

The x400 v4 impresses with a high-quality design in aluminum look. High-quality components with low-backlash drives and milled metal elements serve a high repeatability and deliver a machine with industrial quality.

The base frame is an optional extra and can be added as an option.

Optimal installation space size

With its build envelope size of 350 x 400 x 310 mm, the x400 v4 is optimally capable of handling dual printing of large objects in one process. At the same time, small batches can also be imaged effectively.

Professional ventilation concept

The x400 v4 is equipped with a professional fan KIT to ensure uniform temperature regulation in the installation space. This has a positive effect on process reliability.

The extruder ventilation ensures an optimum temperature at the extruder, while the object fan and the build room ventilation ensure an optimum object and ambient temperature.

Material feed with Filament Tracking System

The material feed in the x400 v4 is automatically controlled by the Filament Tracking System. The system automatically detects when the filament is empty and automatically pauses the current print job. In addition, the x400 v4 detects a deviation in extrusion or conveying speed that is not visible to the naked eye. It can react to this in a process-safe manner and thus actively prevent a print abort.

Printhead with hotend and extruder

The x400 v4 not only prints quickly, but also precisely with a layer resolution of up to 0.1 mm. It scores points above all for its smooth running. The x400 v4 uses DD3 dual extruder technology. The DD3 extruder and the full-metal hot end are easy to operate and no readjustment of the print head is necessary.

The extruder can be equipped with different nozzles depending on the application and the material used. The contact pressure can be varied, which facilitates the processing of softer materials.

Automatic print bed leveling

The print bed is height-leveled via Auto Bed Leveling and thus only needs to be calibrated once. Time-consuming adjustment of the print level before each print job is no longer necessary.

Electronics for demanding users

The x400 v4 is equipped with an industrial computer. The 3D printer can be operated intuitively with the aid of a touch display and via a USB interface.

The network connection is established via Ethernet with browser-based control. Thanks to the stand-alone printing technology, each print job can be started conveniently.
